The Most Excellent Way

A Biblical and In-depth Look at Christian Love

“God is love.”

- 1 John 4:8

The Apostle John teaches us something profound about our Creator when he says, “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Love is inherent to God’s nature and all that He is. The same cannot be said about us. We are quite the opposite.

We are selfish and unloving by nature; thus, we need to learn love. How do we love our church, which is redeemed yet flawed? How do we love our friends more deeply and more selflessly? How do we love a world that hates us and at the same time is redefining what love even is?

How do we continue to love when our love is not returned? The Apostle Paul gives us the answers in a concise, beautiful passage in 1 Corinthians 13, which we will be studying.
